The State of Brazil: one year later

With the 2014 World Cup wrapping up (Vá Brasil!), what better time than now to talk about how Geoforce do Brasil is doing after being in business for just over a year. I wrote a blog in June of 2013 introducing our newest office in Macae, Brazil. At the time, I had been with the company only a few months and was just getting my feet wet down here.

Since then, Geoforce has seen the Brazil market boom. Geoforce’s asset tracking software helps more than 70 Brazilian oil and gas rental companies, service companies and major operators track their key assets around the clock. We have doubled our local headcount, grown our customer base tremendously, attended numerous industry events, received Anatel and RADAR certification, and made immense headway with many of the major operators in the region. We even have had Nicolas, the son of our local account services representative, Andre Chaboudet, trying on our field installation team’s gear. He wants to work for us, but Brazilian labor laws won’t allow it (yet). Geoforce do Brasil was our first international subsidiary. A year later it was followed up with an office in Perth, Australia. Rumor has it that we will be announcing a third international office at the beginning of next month … but as rumors go, you’ll just have to wait and see!
