A glimpse at how we have quickly adjusted our work stations as we shelter in place all over the world.
Everything happens for a reason, right? This is a phrase I’ve been pondering for the past two weeks. And, while I have yet to find an answer that truly makes sense to me, the truth of the matter is we may never know why the Coronavirus entered our world. What I do know is we have the opportunity to make the best of a really catastrophic situation.
For instance, if a global pandemic had occurred 20 to 25 years ago when the Internet was not as widespread or instantly available as it is today, we would not be able to support our customers at all. Though working from home has its own set of challenges (especially while some of us are now homeschooling our children), we have been able to make the transition almost seamlessly. I believe a lot of good will also come out of these incredible circumstances. After all, it’s not every day we have a situation that impacts the entire planet all at the same time, right?
Photos of some of our home offices depict how different we all are, but also how committed we are to continuing to serve our 1,300+ customers. Whether we have a spacious home office or a crowded little corner, we have all implemented the necessary adjustments to continue making field operations less chaotic for our valued customers. The world as a whole may be in a state of panic and chaos, but Geoforce is still here ready and available to help with whatever our customers need.
I know we will all get through this and one day look back and think of the good that came out of it; the extra time spent with family, the extra efforts to stay connected with one another, and perhaps a new appreciation for things we normally took for granted. 2020 is still young. Your 20/20 perfect vision into your field operations (while it may have changed a bit) is still our mission. From all of us here at Geoforce, we wish you good health and happiness.
