Geoforce named oil and gas awards finalist

Last week, Geoforce was announced a finalist for the General Industry Service of the Year in the Southwest region for the Oil & Gas Awards. (The full list can be found here.)   The Geoforce product we submitted for this award – the one we feel benefits the energy industry in a way that no one else can – is our Vehicle Service Verification application. The application was shaped by working with customers to address specific issues they face in the field. Customers expressed frustration in the tedious and time-consuming task of ensuring accurate billing. They maintain numerous relationships with vendors and contractors, generally using a fee-for-service billing setup. Often, the only recorded request is a well name with an order for x-number of barrels of water, or simply “needs disposal”. The Vehicle Service Verification turns the process of reconciling the order with what the driver actually did that day from hours into minutes.

It can be difficult, if not impossible, to determine where a sometimes mobile well or rig is on a map, even if a truck has a GPS position tracked throughout the day. In the app, Service Verification translates GPS coordinates transmitted by trucks into wells, rigs, water pits, home yards or any other place of interest to an oilfield service company.   Other products show dots on a map; Geoforce produces interactive maps (including Whitestar and RigLogix data) that bring the business of oilfield service providers and operators to the foreground. These maps can then be reproduced as a hard copy, unrivalled in the industry in terms of clarity and precision with respect to oilfield-specific activity of a vehicle during the day.   Geoforce is honored to have been named a finalist for the award.
