Geoforce Grows its Footprint Down Under

Australia is the planet’s sixth largest country after Russia, Canada, China, the United States, and Brazil. Along with New Zealand, it provides a significant market opportunity for Geoforce due to activity in Oil and Gas markets, along with a still relatively promising mining industry.

With field equipment and vehicles operating in often remote locations and dispersed across a vast geography, there is a clear need for Geoforce’s GPS-based global traceability, track and trace, and asset tracking solutions.

That’s why Geoforce is making investments in the region through the hiring of new staff and building of a strong local reseller presence to assist in reaching customers across Australia’s 149,450,000 square kilometers. To support our growing list of customers that spans offshore oil & gas operators in Perth and Southeast Asia, and transportation and logistics providers and mining related companies throughout the region, we have a Geoforce office in Melbourne and telematics experienced resellers on both the east and west coasts.

Whilst Geoforce has had a small team in Australia over the last 3 years, a renewed focus on markets outside of Oil and Gas has proven fruitful. We have recently brought on new customers in the transportation and waste management markets in New Zealand and Australia and are looking to further develop relationships across other non-core markets.

And since Australia is the world’s largest exporter of coal (35% of international trade), iron ore, lead, diamonds, rutile, zinc and zirconium, second largest of gold and uranium, and third largest of aluminium, it’s not surprising that our largest customer in the region is in the mining sector.
