Geoforce Goes International – DUG Canada Show Report

Geoforce entered uncharted territory last week by exhibiting at our first ever international trade show, the inaugural Developing Unconventional Gas (DUG) Canada show in Calgary, Alberta.   Calgary is a fun and vibrant town, as oil & gas companies, both established and emerging, are all busy growing their businesses in the oilfield here. Given that this was the first DUG show in Calgary, traffic was light compared to other events, but the conference should grow as the Alberta Bakken Shale region holds tremendous promise.   We spent time with familiar faces from other shows, and met some great new prospects who were hearing about GPS tracking of oilfield equipment for the first time. I loved seeing all the new technology around oil & gas drilling and transportation techniques and hydraulic fracturing.   I also really enjoyed attending conference sessions about the latest developments on both the Alberta Bakken and North Dakota Bakken, and new possibilities in Montana. It was informative to learn about the similarities and differences between the two regions. Definitely look forward to being back again next year!
