Geoforce expands our office to fit company growth

Can you afford to lose visibility of this cargo’s location? For an hour? For a day? For a week? Of course, we all know the answer already: losing visibility into critical assets can mean losing even more: money, time, productivity, safety, sanity…

Almost two years ago, Geoforce made the move to a new office at 750 Canyon Drive in Coppell because we had outgrown our Lewisville location. Over the past six months, Geoforce has been adding positions to our lineup to match our steady growth and we needed some room, so we set out to increase our current office space from 6,500 feet to 9,000 feet.

Construction began in January 2014. For 2 months, our office looked like a war zone and every piece of furniture had approximately five feet of dust and debris coating the surfaces. Our beloved coffee machine kept going strong, however, keeping us fueled and motivated. Only a handful of us were able to physically work in the space during renovation, but Geoforce operations never skipped a beat.   We also had a critical addition to our team during the renovation, Geo A. Fish, a blue betta fish, who was adopted by our CFO, Vince and placed lovingly inside a clock aquarium on his wall. Geo Fish was the “foreman” of the expansion project, here every day, supervising from his little round world.   Construction was completed on March 27, 2014 and opened to our thrilled (and much more comfortable) employees immediately. We added five new offices, three new conference rooms, a 10-seat cubicle system and an updated break room complete with bean bags, a stylish banquette with tables, a beautiful custom-made bar table and a giant game of Jenga. Because everyone loves Jenga, right?!   We celebrated the “grand opening” of our new office on May 2, 2014 with an employee BBQ and crawfish boil. The headcount neared 100 with Geoforce employees and their families and friends. The festivities included bounce houses, face painting, caricatures and live music.   We are all moved in now and welcome visitors! So stop by and come see our new space. The Jenga is setup for a game and Geo Fish would be delighted.
