Q: What is your name and position?
A: Simone Melo, Senior Accountant for Geoforce do Brasil.
Q: How long have you been with Geoforce?
A: One year next month.
Q: Can you explain your job at Geoforce?
A: I am the accountant for our Brazil office here in Macae. I am responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and all the financial routines for our Brazilian entity. In this role, I work closely with our Brazilian sales and operations teams to make things run smoothly. I also work with my counterparts in finance and administration at headquarters in the United States to ensure all of our financials are accounted and consolidated properly.
Q: What do your hobbies include?
A: I like running and reading (not at the same time). Both activities are very relaxing and clear my mind when I am worried, tired or angry… It makes me happy!
Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
A: Be in two places at the same time in order to enjoy every single moment of life!
Q: What is your favorite thing about Geoforce?
A: The team spirit and the positive thoughts of everyone. And I love being able to work with my colleagues from all around the world!
