This month we shine the spotlight on our always smiling, super cool, travel-loving – Shelly Stevenson!
Sandra: How long have you been working with Geoforce?
Shelly: 1 ½ wonderful, fun-filled years!
Sandra: What do you do at Geoforce?
Shelly: Accounts Payable Specialist, Treasury, and doer of whatever is needed to support Bryan Urroz, our Controller extraordinaire. I enjoy the versatility that my role gives me because it allows me to be collaborative multi-departmentally.
Sandra: What are your hobbies outside of work?
Shelly: Traveling is my absolute # 1 passion, but I also enjoy concerts, reading books and then judging the movie adaptations when they’re made.
Sandra: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Shelly: I often have dreams about flying so I’d have to say that’s the winner. Although… teleporting would be really cool, too! (Imagine the commute!)
Sandra: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?
Shelly: Honestly, it’s the people. We work hard, but we also play hard. They are truly my family away from home and make every day at the office seem less “work like.” It’s truly one in a million!
Sandra: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?
Shelly: Geoforce has given me a unique opportunity to expand my skillset and make an impactable difference. The support and openness from management to new ideas is something I’ve never experienced anywhere previously.
Sandra: Do you have a favorite meal, candy, or tradition to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Shelly: No traditions in the past but being newly engaged I’d love to create some new ones for the future!
Sandra: What is something you have always wanted to do but never done?
Shelly: I would like to visit all 50 states, all 7 continents, and all of the wonders of the world. Easy peasy, right?
