Employee Spotlight - Nathan Rauch - Geoforce

Employee Spotlight – Nathan Rauch

Can you afford to lose visibility of this cargo’s location? For an hour? For a day? For a week? Of course, we all know the answer already: losing visibility into critical assets can mean losing even more: money, time, productivity, safety, sanity…

Nathan combining his two hobbies, photography and hiking!

This month we shine the spotlight on our photographer extraordinaire and mountain hike loving Manufacturing Test Engineer – Nathan Rauch!

Sandra: How long have you been with Geoforce?

Nathan:  A little over a year and a half.

Sandra: What do you do at Geoforce?

Nathan: I’m a Manufacturing Test Engineer. I design and build test fixtures for our products, most recently the GT2s. I work with everything from the mechanical, software, and sometimes electrical design of each fixture. I maintain close contact with the people that manufacture our devices. This allows me to manage the fixtures that are being used in production and ensure they work properly to provide the highest quality products to our customers.

Sandra: What are your hobbies?

Nathan: Photography and hiking. I live in Montana which allows me to hike in the mountains and trails and also provides beautiful scenery to photograph.

Sandra: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Nathan: Teleportation because of the savings on gas and to see more of the world.

Sandra: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

Nathan: The diversity of the projects I work on daily. I have a lot more hands-on experience and responsibility than if I was working for a huge company. I also get the opportunity to learn new skills or improve my current skillset.

Sandra: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

Nathan: I have gained a lot of new skills and made improvements in my organizational skills. I’ve also been given autonomy to make decisions on projects and they trust me to do my job.

Sandra: What is something you have always wanted to do but never done?

Nathan: I’d love to travel to Japan or Ireland.
