Employee Spotlight – Keely Patrick

This month’s Employee Spotlight features Keely Patrick from our Infrastructure and IT team.

Q: What is your name and position?

A: Keely Patrick, Infrastructure Engineer.

Q: How long have you been with Geoforce?

A: I will be celebrating my two year anniversary this April!

Q: Can you explain your job at Geoforce?

A: Infrastructure is defined as, “a collection of physical or virtual resources that supports an overall IT environment.”  Under the direction of my supervisor, team member and mentor, Kevin Berry, we help ensure our customer’s experience with our software and other applications is top notch and our systems are always up and running by making sure all of our hardware, virtual machines and containers are appropriately talking to everything they’re supposed to be. In addtion, we work to make our systems as safe and secure as possible to protect our organization.  We have also recently taken over the role of IT Support in our office, which has given me a great opportunity to work more closely with, and furthermore get to know a little better, various people in our organization who otherwise, I wouldn’t normally have.

Q: What do your hobbies include?

A: My fiance John and I are getting married this August, and I work at the drag strip in Sanger.  When we’re not busy with his racecar or at the dragstrip, much of our time is currently consumed with wedding planning.  Free moments are spent hanging out with family and our precious pups, Layla and Gunner.  Layla is our three year old Boxer and Gunner is our one year old Pitty.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

A: Thermal Manipulation- so any weekend we have time, is a lake/beach weekend 🙂

Q: What is your favorite thing about Geoforce?

A: At the risk of sounding like a broken record here, I have to say the people and the environment.  Everyone I get the chance to work with has the same positive, “go-getter” attitude.  This keeps both morale and productivity at its highest, and what more can you ask for in a company?  I take pride in being a part of the winning Geoforce team.
