This month’s employee spotlight is on Fred Roberson, our incredible Logistics Coordinator.
Read the Q&A below to learn more about him!
Q: How long have you been working with Geoforce?
A: 2 years 10 months.
Q: What do you do at Geoforce?
A: As the Logistics Coordinator, I ship, program, assign lines, and manually activate all outbound devices. I also verify order details for accuracy, which entails communicating with all levels of Geoforce for resolution. This is critical because I am the last person to touch parts and order before they are shipped. Then, I manage receiving, processing, and organizing all inbound material including inventory, returns, mail runs etc. It is important to maintain integrity in inventory by reporting inventory shortages, doing cycle counts, and transferring inventory to appropriate locations. Lastly, I resolve shipping, inventory, and customs issues to verify that our accuracy is adequate and acceptable.
My job can be very chaotic, but as long as I control the chaos, I can manage the numerous requests and changes that I have to deal with daily. In my role, I feel like an offensive tackle who protects the quarterback’s blind side. My point is, I’m pretty much an unnoticed problem solver. At that point, I become noticed and relevant for resolution!
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I like hanging out with my family – trying different kinds of aged tequila and going fishing with my brothers.
Q: What is one song that really puts you in a good mood?
A: Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head by BJ Thomas.
Q: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?
A: 100 acres of land in the country.
Q: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?
A: Our bright future. There are endless opportunities in our spectrum. We harness the skills and talents of our employees, present and future, and we take advantage of all opportunities with an open mind. We’re focused on growth and making progress.
