Employee Spotlight: Danielle Schwartz

This month’s employee spotlight is on our Human Resources Administrator, Danielle Schwartz.

Q: How long have you been working with Geoforce?

A:  It will be two years in January.

Q: What do you do at Geoforce?

A:  My role encompasses recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, open enrollment, employee relations, special events and meetings, party planning, ordering swag and office supplies, and ensuring things are running smoothly. Sometimes you can find me in the break room decorating for birthday celebrations or baby showers. During holidays, I’m planning our annual Halloween costume party, getting everyone to sign up for the Thanksgiving Potluck, decorating our Christmas tree, assisting with our annual CASA gift drive or planning Secret Elf exchanges. At any given time, I’m having lunch catered in for meetings or customer trainings. Occasionally I’m out searching for corporate housing for our road warriors. I love the versatility!

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

A:  Writing, spending time with friends and family, playing with my puppy Chewie, attending my son’s sporting events, cooking, and yoga.

Q: If you had to choose your last meal on Earth, what would you eat?

A:  Oh, this is tough because I have so many favorites. But, hands down I’d have to say my favorite pizza from home in Chicago – Aurelio’s Pizza. There’s nothing like it! And of course, a Sprinkles cupcake for dessert!

Q: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

A: I can’t list just one favorite, it’s actually the sum of three things. The leadership, the culture, and the people. There’s so much to be said for integrity and this company has it coming out of its pores. With a work hard, play hard mentality and an environment that supports a family dynamic, Geoforce is the best place I’ve ever been. Being in HR, the primary focus is people. So it’s truly a win-win when the leadership team recognizes and honors an employee-centered culture.

Q: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

A: I’ve gained confidence in myself. I changed my career path about five years ago when I moved to Texas and it was a little scary in the beginning. I love Human Resources even more since joining Geoforce, as the employees inspire me and make the workplace a meaningful place to be. I feel like I’m always learning and growing, but it’s been extremely morale boosting to hear that I’ve made a difference at Geoforce. I will hold onto that. It means so much.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

A: I’d go to Bali because I want to have an Eat, Pray, Love experience like Elizabeth Gilbert. My second choice is Tuscany. Third choice is Greece.
