This month we shine the spotlight on our reader, scuba diver, outdoorsman, and star Senior Product Manager – Suraj Vangoori!

Sandra: How long have you been working with Geoforce?

Suraj: I joined Geoforce in Jan 2021, so it’s been about a year and a half here at Geoforce.

Sandra: What do you do at Geoforce?

Suraj: I’m a senior product manager, primarily focused on data and analytics. My job involves researching our customers’ needs around their reporting requirements for their customers and providing insight into their asset usage and related areas.

Sandra: What are your hobbies outside of work?

Suraj: I love reading, scuba diving, and skiing in that order. Right now, I’m reading the autobiography of Phil Knight, the founder of Nike.

Sandra: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Suraj: It absolutely would be teleportation, because I love traveling, and what better way to travel than think and be there!

Sandra: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

Suraj: My favorite attribute of Geoforce is “Grow Together”. In my time here whenever I’ve reached out to anyone with any issue, they have always taken the time to help and work with me to resolve them. I’ve never had to ask twice or follow up. It is such a pleasure to work with such a tight-knit group of people.

Sandra: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

Suraj: My two previous jobs before Geoforce were in big companies where I did not feel like my work mattered. But after joining Geoforce and the team here, I feel like my work and my contributions make a difference and matter. That feeling gives me immense satisfaction and motivates me to do better for our customers every day.

Sandra: What is your favorite thing to do in the summer and why?

Suraj: My favorite thing to do in summer is to spend time outdoors, either hiking in a national park or cycling on a trail around my house. And I like it because it gives me time to get away from my regular routine and be outside in nature and enjoy the moment.
