Geoforce Wins “General Industry Service” Category of Oil & Gas Awards

Geoforce, Inc, was named the winner of the 2013 General Industry Service Award at the Oil & Gas Awards on October 22, 2013.  The announcement came at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel & Spa in Fort Worth, TX.  

The 2013 Southwest Oil & Gas Awards judging panel reviewed hundreds of entries to get to the shortlist of finalists, who were all recognized during the event. Geoforce submitted its Vehicle Service Delivery Verification module (referred to by some customers as the “day in the life of an oilfield service vehicle”)  as a product that benefitted the energy industry in a way that no one else can.

Geoforce shaped the application by working with customers to address specific issues they face in the field.  Customers expressed frustration about the tedious and time-consuming task of ensuring accurate billing related to services vehicles. Customers maintain numerous relationships with vendors and driver contractors, generally using a fee-for-service billing setup.  Often, the only recorded request is a well name with an order for x-number of barrels of water, or simply “needs disposal”.  The Service Verification module reduces the process of reconciling the order with what the driver actually did that day from hours into minutes.

The Oil & Gas Awards judges praised Geoforce’s focus on “working with the industry to develop applications that support the Oil & Gas industry . . . The experience of industry veterans has enabled Geoforce to develop technology that provides critical information that saves time, reduces costs and eliminates major communication issues.”
