Geoforce Initiates Field Trials of Newest Member of the GT Family – The GT2s Solar Asset Tracker

When it comes to durable and reliable asset tracking devices, Geoforce is at the forefront of innovation. Our most recent addition to the proven GT family of asset trackers is the next generation of solar-powered asset tracking technology, the GT2s Global Asset Tracker.

At Geoforce we take pride in producing tough and reliable products, and this new family member is no exception. We took a close look at some of the problems with current solar devices and noticed that folks needed a more reliable solution.  You see, solar asset trackers have traditionally been like demanding prima donnas. Clean panels, stringent operating temperatures, and access to continual sunlight were all requirements for consistent and dependable reporting. That isn’t always practical. Who has time to clean off a panel in the desert, on a rig out in the middle of the ocean, or at a construction site?

That’s why we developed the GT2s to solve these problems! It’s the first solar-powered asset tracker that can take a beating and still steadfastly work like a Yeti® cooler in Death Valley.  With not one, but two power sources, the GT2s can keep on ticking for almost a decade – rain or shine! How did we do this, you ask? We combined the long life delivered by solar power with the reliability of a battery back-up.
