OVERVIEW
This Product Privacy Policy explains how Geoforce, Inc. and its applicable affiliates (“Geoforce,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) process personal information in connection with Geoforce’s asset tracking, fleet management, mobile applications, devices, software, interfaces, and related products and services (collectively, the “Platform”) when Geoforce acts as a processor, service provider, or equivalent entity on behalf of an Organization. It does not apply to personal information that Geoforce processes as a controller, business, or equivalent entity for its own purposes.
For purposes of this Product Privacy Policy, “Applicable Data Privacy Law” means any data protection, privacy, or similar law or regulation that applies to the processing of personal information through the Platform. “Personal information” includes “personal data” and similar terms as defined under Applicable Data Privacy Law.
The Platform is generally provided to businesses and other organizations (“Organizations”). With respect to Customer Data processed through the Platform at an Organization’s direction, the Organization generally acts as the controller, business, or equivalent entity under Applicable Data Privacy Law, and Geoforce acts as the processor, service provider, or equivalent entity. The Organization determines which assets, vehicles, devices, and users are connected to the Platform, which optional features are enabled, and how information available through its account is used.
This Product Privacy Policy should be read together with any privacy notice provided by your Organization or an applicable reseller, distributor, original equipment manufacturer, or other Geoforce business partner (each, a “Channel Partner”). Geoforce’s processing of personal information for its own general website, sales, marketing, and business purposes is addressed separately in the Geoforce Privacy Policy.
1. OUR ROLE AND YOUR ORGANIZATION’S ROLE.
With respect to Customer Data processed through the Platform on behalf of your Organization, your Organization determines the purposes and means of the processing and instructs Geoforce regarding that processing. Geoforce processes that Customer Data on behalf of and under the documented instructions of your Organization and acts as the processor, service provider, or equivalent entity under Applicable Data Privacy Law, except to the extent Applicable Data Privacy Law requires otherwise.
Your Organization is responsible for establishing any legal basis required for its collection and processing of personal information through the Platform and for providing any notices and obtaining any permissions, consents, releases, or authorizations required for its use of the Platform, including where the Platform is used in connection with employees, drivers, contractors, vehicles, cameras, location information, or other monitored assets.
To the extent Geoforce determines the purposes and means of processing limited personal information for its own business purposes, Geoforce acts as the controller, business, or equivalent entity with respect to that processing, and the Geoforce Privacy Policy applies. Geoforce may also create and use aggregated or deidentified information as described in Section 6 below.
2. INFORMATION PROCESSED THROUGH THE PLATFORM.
The information processed through the Platform depends on the products, devices, integrations, and optional features selected by your Organization.
Account and user information. We may process names, business email addresses, telephone numbers, Organization and job-related information, user IDs and account identifiers, authentication information, account roles and permissions, and account configuration and preferences.
Asset, device, location, and telemetry information. Depending on the Devices and Services used, the Platform may process device identifiers and serial numbers; asset or vehicle identifiers; GPS and other precise or approximate location information; timestamps; movement, route, utilization, and operating information; sensor and telemetry data; cellular, satellite, or network information; alerts, events, and status information; and information generated by or associated with connected equipment. Location information relating to tracked equipment or vehicles may also relate to an identifiable driver, employee, or other individual depending on how the Organization deploys and uses the Platform.
Usage and technical information. We may process IP addresses, browser and device type, operating system, login and access information, features used, usage logs, performance information, error reports, system diagnostics, and support and troubleshooting information.
Camera, video, image, and audio information. If your Organization selects camera-enabled products, the Platform or applicable third-party providers may process, depending on the product and configuration, road-facing or in-cabin video, still images, audio, event recordings, driver-safety events and analytics, information regarding behaviors such as distraction, phone use, seatbelt use, fatigue, or other driving events, and associated date, time, location, device, vehicle, or event metadata.
Driver identification and biometric functionality. Certain third-party camera products may offer optional functionality that identifies or assigns drivers or creates information that may be regulated as biometric information under Applicable Data Privacy Law. Certain optional facial-identification functionality is not part of the standard Geoforce configurations currently offered. If an Organization chooses to enable functionality that collects, creates, or processes biometric information, the Organization is responsible for determining whether and how to enable and use that functionality and for providing any notices and obtaining any consents, releases, or authorizations required of the Organization under Applicable Data Privacy Law. Geoforce will process such information only as necessary to provide and support the functionality selected by the Organization and as otherwise permitted by the applicable agreement and Applicable Data Privacy Law.
Support and communications. We may process information your Organization or its users provide when requesting support, configuring the Platform, troubleshooting issues, or otherwise communicating with Geoforce.
Information from Channel Partners and integrations. Where an Organization obtains Geoforce products through a Channel Partner or uses third-party integrations, Geoforce may receive information from or provide information to the applicable Channel Partner or third-party provider as necessary to provide, support, integrate, and secure the applicable products and services.
3. SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH RESELLERS, OEMS, AND OTHER CHANNEL PARTNERS.

In these arrangements, the Platform or portions of it may be branded, offered, administered, or supported by the Channel Partner; Geoforce may receive account, user, asset, device, support, or other information from the Channel Partner; Geoforce may process information on behalf of the Organization and/or Channel Partner in providing the Platform; and to the extent a Channel Partner determines the purposes and means of its own processing of personal information, that Channel Partner is responsible for its independent processing and applicable privacy notices.

Third-party providers may also process information as necessary to provide AI-enabled functionality selected by the Organization. The Organization determines whether to enable optional AI-enabled functionality and how to use resulting outputs, subject to Applicable Data Privacy Law. Geoforce does not currently use Customer Data to train, fine-tune, develop, or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. If Geoforce offers functionality in the future that would use Customer Data for such purposes, that use will be subject to the Organization’s affirmative selection or authorization. Questions concerning your Organization’s use of information should generally be directed to your Organization.
6. AGGREGATED AND DEIDENTIFIED INFORMATION.
Geoforce may create aggregated or deidentified information from Customer Data or Usage Data so that the resulting information does not identify the Organization or an individual. Geoforce may use such aggregated or deidentified information to analyze, maintain, improve, develop, and operate its products and services and for other lawful business purposes.
