Last week, Geoforce attended Hart Energy’s DUG Permian trade show in Fort Worth, Texas. Despite the rainy weather that had to be endured on the way into the conference center, the show was a success. There were many companies in attendance, including several of our favorite customers like Baker Hughes, GE Oil & Gas, Stallion, and FMC Technologies with great giveaways including hats, pens, ice packs and even stress balls.
Of course the main topic of conversation, both on the show floor and in breakout sessions and panels, was the stabilization of oil prices and what the next quarter will look like. Compared to a few months ago, most of the dialogue now has an optimistic tone.
With oilfield companies looking for ways to become more efficient during this downturn, Geoforce was one of the more popular booths. There were many questions about our Software and Mobile Application and how these, combined with our Track and Trace technology and GPS tracking devices, can bring order to often chaotic field operations, saving time and money while lowering risk. Discussion centered around how Geoforce technology helps companies lower billing disputes, gain online access to accurate rental, maintenance and compliance records, and know where all assets are at all times.
We believe that taking the opportunity to become more efficient when times are hard is the smartest thing that an oil and gas company can do. After all, these efficiencies do not go away when oil prices rise, as the company continues to be more efficient and, in the long run, is able to put more of their budget into other strategic investments.
