Geoforce Interns Making a Difference in the Field

My name is Marty Rosen, and I am proud to be a part of Geoforce’s summer intern program! I am a junior at Texas A&M University majoring in Environmental Geosciences. This summer, I was looking for an internship that would allow me to learn more about the oil and gas industry. Geoforce was a great opportunity, because it allows me to go into the field and meet oilfield customers . Everyone at Geoforce has been friendly and willing to help me learn about every aspect of the company. I really like feeling a part of the team.

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Early, Texas with one of our Field Service Technicians, Hunter Tesar, to help Solaris Oilfield install SVT vehicle tracking devices in their fleet of company trucks. SVT’s are our Standard Vehicle Tracker that allow services company fleet operators to know the location and status of all of their vehicles at all times. Paired with Geoforce’s Track and Trace software application, companies can use the SVT to record engine runtime, mileage, speed and other data that is pertinent to fleet management operations.

Hunter’s positive outlook while on the job was something we can all learn from and really impressed me. Despite the relentless West Texas heat, Hunter showed me exactly how to install the devices and train customers on how to use Geoforce’s asset tracking solutions to its fullest. He also had a “we can do this” outlook the entire time. As a result, Solaris was very pleased with our service and everything Geoforce has to offer.

I look forward to helping more customers this summer, both in the field installing our GPS tracking devices, and at headquarters working with different departments like Finance, Customer Support, and Corporate Services.

By operating the world’s largest network of connected oilfield equipment, Geoforce offers me the perfect opportunity to achieve my summer goal of learning more about the oil and gas industry. But our technology and services offering work just as well in any industry – so I’m just as excited to earn some “extra credit” this summer and learn about construction, agriculture, transportation and the many other field operation intensive industries that Geoforce is active.
