Employee Spotlight – Yogesh Chhajed

This month we shine the spotlight on our outdoorsman extraordinaire and mountain hike loving Senior Software Developer – Yogesh Chhajed!

Sandra: How long have you been working with Geoforce?

Yogesh: I’ve been with Geoforce for a year and half.

Sandra: What do you do at Geoforce?

Yogesh: I am a Senior Software Developer at Geoforce and work with a world class team to build software to support our customers. I work with different departments depending on the subject matter but mostly with the product team. I love to innovate on new technologies, and also like to work with the talented group of people around me.

Sandra: What are your hobbies outside of work?

Yogesh: Family comes first for me. Living in Colorado, I love to go hiking, biking, and going on small trails with the kids. Other than outdoor activities here in Colorado, I love to play outdoor sports and you will find me playing cricket and volleyball when the weather allows me to do so.

Sandra: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Yogesh: That would be great! I would love to help people in need and would spend all that superpower time on that. Such a blessing!

Personally, I would love little adventures for sure.

Sandra: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

Yogesh: The people, as we say at Geoforce, are like a family. I think we put a lot of effort into building relationships with our co-workers. Personally, I feel this is very important as it helps in every aspect of our work life, people’s personal thoughts, customer interactions, and many other things. It makes a big impact for sure!

Sandra: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

Yogesh: Since I started working at Geoforce I have felt very welcomed and happy to be a part of this organization. It helped me to understand the different ways we do things and also deeper understanding of the technology and approach. The software team is well engaged in communication, collaboration, and planning. With the recent COVID-19 issues, the team has managed very well. I am thankful for everyone contributing and making an extra effort to complete our projects.

There is a variety of talent in the team and everyone willing to share and learn the new stuff, which I love a lot. I always enjoy working for an organization which is growing from the roots and taking care of the people (branches) who grow with it.

Sandra: What is something you have always wanted to do but never done?

Yogesh: Skydiving is first on my list and then travel to visit fascinating places all over the world.
