Employee Spotlight: Rodrigo Lima de Souza - Geoforce

Employee Spotlight: Rodrigo Lima de Souza

Can you afford to lose visibility of this cargo’s location? For an hour? For a day? For a week? Of course, we all know the answer already: losing visibility into critical assets can mean losing even more: money, time, productivity, safety, sanity…

For this month’s employee spotlight, we head south to Brazil for a conversation with one of our awesome Field Technicians in South America, Rodrigo Lima de Souza.

Kendall: How long have you been with Geoforce?

Rodrigo: Nearly four and a half years.

Kendall: What do you do at Geoforce?

Rodrigo: I am a Field Technician, which means I take care of the installation and maintenance of GPS tracking devices like our GT1 Global Asset Trackers devices to make sure they are all reporting normally. I take pride in keeping our customers happy with excellent customer care out in the field and ensuring our hardware works properly.

Kendall: What are your hobbies outside of work?

Rodrigo: I really love music and I enjoy playing my drums on the weekends.

Kendall: If you had to choose your last meal on Earth, what would you eat and why?

Rodrigo: If I had to choose a last meal I would definitely eat a lot of pasta and pizza to pay homage to my grandparents who came from Italy.

Kendall: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

Rodrigo: I love how employee-driven Geoforce is. We succeed as a team, we help each other achieve goals, and most importantly – we have fun together. I am not stationed at headquarters, but I still feel a sense of family that our company values.

Kendall: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

Rodrigo: I have gained amazing teamwork experience. We invest in our relationships and strive for a healthy, balanced life. Geoforce is a very collaborative workspace and we all get along very well.

Kendall: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Rodrigo: If I could go anywhere, I think I would go to Hollywood. Not only would I love to partake in the movie studio tours, but there is a museum store there with relics of collectors, like the last drum set that Buddy Rich used. I am very fascinated by that and would love to see it in person.

Kendall: What is something you have always wanted to do but have never done?

Rodrigo: In life, I have always wanted to have the courage to take more risks.
