Employee Spotlight: Pat Williams

This month’s Employee Spotlight features Pat Williams, our Business Manager for Geoforce Australia. Read the Q&A below to learn more about him and our office Down Under!


Q: What is your name?

A: Pat Williams (typically Patrick if I am in trouble).

Q: What do you do for Geoforce?

A: I connect companies that value remote visibility of their global assets with the world’s best supplier. In addition, my team and I in Australia are the primary “face of Geoforce” to our numerous customers in Australia, Southeast Asia and the greater Asia Pacific region.

Q: How long have you been working with Geoforce?

A: Coming up on 2.5 years and loving the growth journey the company is on. Just in my time I’ve seen us add so many new people, offices, products, and customers!

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I try to keep hobbies in balance with my family time (wife and 2 boys who are 4 and 7 years old). When I get some time my hobbies are many. They include motorbikes, scuba diving, sky diving and boat racing (see photo above of a race from 3 weeks ago that is 124 kilometers or 77 miles in length). Basically, anything that leads me outdoors and gets my adrenaline pumping.

Q: If you could choose one song as your theme song, what would it be and why?

A: Tubthumping by British rock band Chumbawamba. While I mentioned I have many hobbies, I cannot claim to be exceptionally good at any of them. When I get “knocked down”, I always get back up.

Q: If you were stranded in an airport what would be your 3 must-haves?

A: Laptop, connecting flight details, and my priority pass access card.

Q: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce?

A: I love that we are constantly pushing the technology envelope with regards to our ruggedized GPS tracking hardware and web-based software applications. The numerous awards our technologies have won prove that we’re making great products. But more importantly, our customer success stories are the ultimate proof of the value our technology delivers. Our product management and development teams always challenge themselves to deliver the best solutions for our customers.
