Employee Spotlight – Matt Pennebaker

This month’s Employee Spotlight features Matt Pennebaker, one of our Account Managers based out of our Houston office.

Q: What is your name and position?

A: Matt Pennebaker, Account Manager.

Q: How long have you been with Geoforce?

A: Two years in February.

Q: Can you explain your job at Geoforce?

A: My role revolves around supporting and developing strategic global accounts within Geoforce. A large part of that work entails understanding the customer’s business needs and determining the right solution to fit those needs. I work with corporate executives to help develop everything from GPS implementation strategies to backend integration processes.

On a daily basis, I manage all account commercial activities to ensure we’re serving customers to the best of our abilities. In many cases, I integrate into the customer’s planning process to serve as their advocate ensuring Geoforce delivers the optimal technological solution for their business processes.

Q: What do your hobbies include?

A: Now that my wife and I have a newborn, Haley, my hobbies are more along the lines of diaper changing and bottle washing. When we can manage to get out of the house though, I enjoy taking walks with my family, trying new restaurants around Houston, and listening to live music.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

A: Time travel. To have the ability to know the future before it happens would be about as cool as it gets. If I ever win the Powerball, you can pretty much assume that I now have that super power.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Geoforce?

A: My favorite thing about Geoforce is that we’re a company on the cutting edge of technology. It’s exciting to work in an environment where we are the leading innovators in remote asset tracking.

Aside from our products though, Geoforce’s people are what keep me motivated. To be able to work on a team where everyone gets along and supports each other is a rare thing and makes for a fun work environment.
