Employee Spotlight – Kennah Buckaloo

Kennah celebrating completing a 5K in Lake Mead, Nevada.

This month we shine the spotlight on our baker, animal whisperer, traveler extraordinaire, and Implementation Manager – Kennah Buckaloo!

Sandra: How long have you been with Geoforce?

Kennah: It’s been about 2 and half years. I started in January of 2019.

Sandra: What do you do at Geoforce?

Kennah: Currently, I’m one of the Implementation Managers. Our team handles onboarding for new customers and general training for all customers. We also help train any new employees as needed.

Sandra: What are your hobbies?

Kennah: Well, I have a few, but the main ones are working out, baking, and spending time with my family and kitty cats. We also foster animals. This is one of my favorite hobbies. I love seeing the turnaround from start to finish and seeing an animal go to a good home!

Sandra: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Kennah: So I have a few nephews and this is a topic we cover every time we talk. There are two that I would love: traveling or talking to animals. If I had to choose, it would definitely be to talk to animals. This would be such an amazing power. To have the ability to communicate, help, and learn about these special beings. However, my nephews say it’s not a ‘real’ power; I’m still onboard with talking to animals though!

Sandra: What is your favorite attribute of Geoforce and why?

Kennah: The people. 100%. It was one of the first things I noticed when being interviewed and one of the things that has stuck since working here. Not only is it nice to work with everyone, but we always have fun together. It’s like one big happy family!

Sandra: What have you gained from working at Geoforce?

Kennah: So much! This job has opened the door to so many different learning opportunities. From learning how to better manage my time to how to use my strengths and weaknesses to better my professional self. I’ve also gained a great group of co-friends (Is that a word? It definitely should be).

Sandra: What is something you have always wanted to do but never done?

Kennah: So this one is hard. There are so many things I have done yet! But the biggest one is traveling more. My husband and I have a plan to (later in life) hike the Appalachian Trail and then hit the Triple threat (Pacific Coast Trail and Continental Divide). We are avid outdoors people and would love to include our son in this! We also want to travel the globe: Australia, Greece, London, Paris. We want to visit all the ‘off road’ places and just really enjoy all life has to offer!
