Employee Spotlight – Elizabeth Poole

This month’s Employee Spotlight features Elizabeth Poole from our amazing Accounting team!

Q: What is your name and position?

A: Elizabeth Poole, A/R Accounting Specialist

Q: How long have you been with Geoforce?

A: Since March of this year, thanks to a referral from our Logistics Manager, Louis Lockhart (who I used to work with at Enfora).

Q: Can you explain your job at Geoforce?

A: In a nutshell, I do the billing for all Geoforce customers, manage collections, and handle financial related customer service. I work closely with our account service and support team, sales team, helpdesk and logistics to help manage customer accounts. Day to day duties include order verification, order entry, invoicing, cash applications, and lots and lots of research.

Q: What do your hobbies include?

A: I love to go to concerts! Probably my favorite adrenaline rush is watching a live band that I love. It makes me feel young again. I’m fascinated with anything space related. I follow NASA, Space X, and the activity going on aboard the International Space Station on a daily basis. It’s the one true medium that brings us together as a whole on our tiny planet. I stalk a few of my favorite astronauts on Facebook from afar.

It baffles me the strides we are making in space exploration. Our generation is experiencing the most exciting accomplishments and discoveries and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I literally cry every time I watch a launch. Even if it’s just to send supplies to the ISS. I plan on going to space camp in the near future (yes, they have space camp for adults). I would love to take flying lessons one day, but for now I’ll just watch YouTube videos and hope someone will lend me their plane for a test drive!

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

A: I would love to be able to time travel. I think it would be so fascinating to see what life was like and will be like during the various stages of existence. I would visit with family members that I never got to meet and get to see what our world will be like 1,000 years from now.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Geoforce?

A: My absolute favorite thing about Geoforce is the people that work here. I love the culture. We work hard and play hard and that balance is hard to find. I have a boss that I love to work for and she is always in my corner. I love that kind of support. Although I have only been here a short time, I definitely feel the Geoforce love. I look forward to many years here.
