Can you afford to lose visibility of this cargo’s location? For an hour? For a day? For a week? Of course, we all know the answer already: losing visibility into critical assets can mean losing even more: money, time, productivity, safety, sanity…
Last week, Hart Energy gathered more than 4,500 oil and gas professionals together in San Antonio, Texas for three days of education, networking and a look at the products and services that continue to drive production in the Eagle Ford region.
It’s no secret that South Texas is producing better than ever. Oil and gas companies forecast to spend $20-$30 billion in the Eagle Ford this year and nearly all operators project at least five more years of drilling at the current pace. On Tuesday, a crowd gathered over lunch to listen to Salvatore “Sal” Giunta, the first living recipient of the Medal of Honor for service in Iraq or Afghanistan. His heroic tale was one for the books, and his patriotism toward his country unmatched. He talked with great respect for the oil and gas industry, but reminded the crowd of two noteworthy points: 1. No one person in any room is better than everyone in the room. 2. You don’t have to be the best to be a part of the best. You just have to surround yourself with great people.
At Geoforce, we understand that it takes teamwork and commitment to bring our customers the absolute best in class. When we release a product like the GT1 or a solution like Compliance Manager– it’s due to an effort from every department in the company. This concept Sal talked about is the same for the entire oil and gas industry. The exhibition hall was filled with solutions that work together to help drive success of the Eagle Ford region. No single company can flourish without the help of others. Standing in the Geoforce booth, you could see customers, competitors, vendors and partners. Each was there, not to just be the best, but to be a part of the best. Thanks Sal for reminding us how great this industry is!
