Employee Spotlight – Hunter Tesar

This month’s Employee Spotlight features Hunter Tesar, one of our Field Service Technicians. His interaction with customers and knowledge of our hardware and software makes him a critical part of the Geoforce team!

Q: What is your name and position?

A: Hunter Tesar, Field Service Technician

Q: How long have you been with Geoforce?

A: Two and a half years.

Q: Can you explain your job at Geoforce?

A: I travel to customer yards and sites to install our rugged GPS tracking devices. Our job is to make sure our customer’s devices are always working. So I also help troubleshoot or replace devices. The best part of what I do is being able to see the customer become ecstatic when they look at our software application and see their assets popping up where they actually are located. I also work closely with our customer support and logistics teams to help with get customer information for the field team and maintain proper inventory. Without the close cooperation of these two departments I believe that our jobs would be a lot harder. While onsite with customers I also see if they have any questions about our application that I may be able to help with.

Q: What do your hobbies include?

A: My hobbies include playing football and baseball on the weekends. I also love to play with my husky and take her to the dog park and throw tennis balls or frisbees from time to time when the weather is bearable. Playing video games is another huge hobby that I have. You can never go wrong with getting a good game and just blowing off stress or steam by playing a video game. But cooking has to be the biggest hobby of mine. I love to learn new recipes and try new foods from around the world or to try and cook something new.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

A: I would love to have the ability to teleport from place to place, pick a spot and be there within seconds of closing my eyes. Flying seems so cliché and you would still have to take the time to get where you want to go, whereas teleportation seems to be the best way to get somewhere instantly.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Geoforce?

A: My favorite thing about Geoforce has to be the people and the atmosphere. To come in everyday to work and be able to have fun while getting your job done makes everything so much easier and relaxing. The second part would be traveling and visiting with customers. For Geoforce to have people in the field that have face to face interactions with customers, and to give them training when they might have just one or two quick questions seems like one of the best parts of Geoforce, and the customers love it. These are what I believe set Geoforce apart from most other companies.
