ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION
Building an integrated alliance.
While Geoforce may be an excellent stand-alone application, it becomes even more powerful when used in conjunction with your existing business applications. That's why it is designed to support data feeds from other systems, and why Geoforce will seamlessly import data for customers during the initial implementation phase. We have extensive experience working with customers to implement custom data feeds, in whatever format (CSV, XML) and protocol (email, SFTP, web service) are desired.
Geoforce offers the following for your enterprise integration needs:
Data Available in Multiple Formats
Though Geoforce provides an extensive set of reporting capabilities, there are always cases in which customers need an even richer set. For most customers, reports are generated in Excel format, which works best for many small- to medium-sized companies. Some companies, however, already have another information system in place internally, and want to integrate Geoforce data into that existing system. In these cases, we offer easy-to-use RESTful web service calls. These web services are simple to call and consume, making them useful to a large number of web-enabled software environments.
Bulk Upload of Custom Data
Our technical staff works with customers to import existing data into the Geoforce system. Instead of spending man-hours entering assets or locations into their account, customers can create an export and let Geoforce bulk-import the data for them.
Asset Sharing
Through Geoforce's proprietary and unique asset sharing capabilities, customers have the ability to share visibility of a subset of assets to others who are not Geoforce users.
Communication Services
Communicating with various GPS-enabled devices can be a daunting task. For customers who already have an asset tracking system in place, Geoforce provides an easy-to-consume web service that presents device readings directly to that system. In this case, Geoforce becomes a data provider.
Independent Communications
Geoforce communications devices do not require the use of your corporate infrastructure. This means that our devices are ready to use right out of the box, minimizing the burden on your IT staff.
- Satellite tags use a dedicated wireless frequency and communicate with Low Earth Orbit (L.E.O.) satellites. No Internet connection is required.
- Cellular tags use a cellular Internet connection, much as a commodity off-the-shelf cell phone would. Geoforce manages cellular tag data plans that allow for plug-and-go use.
- The Geoforce Smartgate RFID readers all communicate with Geoforce via cellular networks, removing any IT firewall/security related restrictions that could result from plugging Geoforce equipment into a corporate network.
