GLOBAL NETWORK
Be everywhere at once.
It's crucial to have options that work in all environments and applications when vital information about your high-value assets is being transported across the globe. That's why Geoforce offers access to a variety of networks to manage your asset data.
The network used depends entirely on your specific requirements and needs. In many cases, clients take advantage of the ability to use different networks under the common Geoforce platform to track their various assets. Cellular networks might be ideal for highly mobile trucks being tracked once a minute while in motion. But a satellite network works best for containers being tracked twice a day in remote locations with no cellular coverage. And with inventory that simply moves in and out of set facilities, an RFID network infrastructure might work best.
With Geoforce, you can use all three technologies to track all types of assets, within one map and a single web-based software system.
Satellite Networks
Geoforce offers our customers the ability to use both Globalstar and Iridium satellite networks.

Globalstar is a leading provider of satellite data and voice communications services that uses a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (L.E.O.) satellites to provide a large coverage of highly receptive satellites. Globalstar transmitting devices require much less power-to-transmit than many competing satellite providers, which allows Geoforce to provide smaller, self-powered tags that have longer lifespans.

Iridium offers coverage of the entire earth, including oceans, airways and polar regions. Iridium data products provide communications solutions that allows Geoforce customers to stay connected everywhere. The unique Iridium constellation of 66 Low Earth Orbiting (L.E.O.) cross-linked satellites routes communications traffic through space and around the world, creating highly efficient and reliable connections.
Cellular Networks

For affordable land and near-shore applications, Geoforce supports the use of major cellular providers such as AT&T and Verizon. Furthermore, Geoforce cellular tags support both GSM and CDMA transmission protocols, thus ensuring the greatest possible reliability and cost efficiency. Network availability has averaged more than 99.98% over time, far exceeding wireless industry metrics and all other M2M carriers.

Two Network Operations Centers (NOCs) provide inter-center redundancy and redundant connectivity to the multiple geographically dispersed operations centers of our carrier partners. So there is no single point of failure, a unique feature amongst M2M carriers. This minimizes the impact of any carrier network outage and provides assurance of the highest network availability to our clients.
Local Networks (RFID)

With Geoforce's proprietary Smartzone technology, you can quickly and easily enable passive and/or active RFID monitoring in your facilities. Smartzone readers require minimal setup, requiring only a standard power connection, with all data transmissions occurring via cellular networks.

Furthermore, Geoforce's Smartzones have been rigorously developed and time-tested to provide you with "hands-off" maintenance and maximum reliability. Finally, Geoforce's Smartzone technologies integrate seamlessly with any Geoforce GPS-based tags you may also have, allowing you to "see" all of your assets from one place.
