We understand that no single technology fits every application, so we built Geoforce around commercially proven RFID devices, cellular-based GPS tags, satellite-based GPS tags and other wireless products that operate on a variety of protocols. Geoforce is unique in offering you the ability to manage all of these pieces of hardware, each with its own specific use case and operating environment, in a single, easy-to-use platform. We develop systems that are durable, easy to deploy, scalable and optimized to work with our web-based software.
Some companies prefer to track higher value assets using GPS technology and utilize RFID for managing large volumes of inventory assets at their fixed facilities. Other companies have a need for GPS tracking today, but may consider RFID technology in the future. In either case, it makes good sense to use Geoforce, the one software platform that lets you do both.
GPS
GPS tracking tags give you the ability to remotely monitor your inventory assets from practically anywhere in the world. We offer two basic types of GPS tags, cellular and satellite, each with multiple options. Satellite GPS tags operate worldwide, and can operate entirely on batteries for several years, providing location or other information. Cellular GPS tags operate within cellular coverage areas and can provide a detailed history or "breadcrumb trail" showing exactly where your assets have been and other valuable information like speed, engine run-time or sensor status.
RFID
Geoforce offers plug-and-go RFID systems that are excellent for yard management or automatic inventory applications. RFID is a facility-based technology that requires readers to be installed within approximately 300 feet (100 meters) of the assets being inventoried. This technology offers the ability to know exactly which mobile assets are IN or OUT of a particular location at a lower cost per asset than a typical GPS system.
